Who We Are

Exerpad (exerpad.com) is a free coding education platform for students ages 13 and above. For questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].

Data We Collect

Account information — When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your Google profile name and avatar.

Learning progress — Your progress, XP, streaks, and badges are stored in your browser (localStorage) and synced to our servers when you are signed in, so your progress is available across devices.

Server-Side Storage

Authentication credentials (email, hashed password, and OAuth tokens) and learning progress (XP, streaks, completed items) are stored securely in Supabase. We do not store code submissions on our servers.

Third-Party Services

  • Supabase — Optional authentication and user account storage
  • Google OAuth — Optional sign-in method
  • Cloudflare — Website hosting, API proxy, and anonymous web analytics
  • PostHog — Anonymous product analytics
  • Sentry — Error tracking and performance monitoring
  • Amazon SES — Transactional emails only (account verification, password reset)

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and PostHog to understand how the platform is used and improve the experience. These tools collect anonymous usage data such as page views and general interaction patterns. We do not use advertising networks or tracking cookies.

Children’s Privacy

Exerpad is intended for students ages 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly delete it. We collect only the minimum data needed to provide the service, never sell user data, and do not display ads.

Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing [email protected]. Local browser data can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
