Exerpad is organized into milestones (big goals) made of chapters (one topic each). Each chapter has short lessons to read and exercises you write and run yourself, usually ending in a quiz. Finish the exercises and quiz to unlock the next chapter — chapters build on each other, so it goes in order.
This course is heavy on exercises, and that's on purpose. Learning to code means learning to think like a computer — step by step, with no gaps — and that only sinks in through repetition, the same way a martial artist drills the same kata over and over until it becomes automatic. Don't skip exercises, even the easy-looking ones. Do all of them, and it'll stick.
Coding turns you from a user into a builder. Every game you've played, every app on your phone, every website you visit — someone sat down and wrote the code that makes it work. Learn to code, and you stop just tapping the buttons other people made. You start deciding what the button does.
AI writing code doesn't make learning to code pointless, any more than calculators made math pointless. Reading and math were never just professional skills — they're how you understand the world around you. Code is becoming the same kind of literacy. Skip it, and you're stuck depending on whoever did learn it.
